Undergraduate Admissions

Undergraduates who seek admission to Washington University Engineering have challenged themselves academically and personally during their high school years.

Washington University reviews and assesses each application individually and personally. Prospective undergraduate students can apply online.

Graduate Admissions

Prospective graduate students can apply online, but will need a web browser that has Javascript activated to use the online application.

Dual-Degree Admissions

Prospective dual-degree students must apply for admission to the School of Engineering using the special Dual Degree Program application form. There is no application fee. Applications are normally submitted during the winter of a student's junior or senior year while at an affiliated institution.

Sever Institute of Continuing Studies Admissions

Students in the Sever Institute of Continuing Studies come from a variety of professional and academic backgrounds and bring a range of experience into the classroom. Some are new to their profession, while others bring years of experience. Prospective students may apply online.

Xuemei Chen chose Washington University to pursue a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Within one year of entering the program, she had a paper accepted to appear in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics, a premier journal in the field.
