Attendance
Engineering students may attend all three Commencement events.

Cap & Gown
Students may wear the tam (cap) and gown to all three events. The hood is not needed at the Engineering Undergraduate Student Recognition Ceremony on Thursday afternoon. The hood should be carried (not worn) and to the All-University Commencement Ceremony on Friday morning. All masters' students should wear their hoods to the to Engineering Graduate Student Recognition Ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Diploma Distribution
Engineering UNDERGRADUATE and GRADUATE degree candidates: diplomas will be distributed immediately after the All-University Commencement Ceremony on Friday morning.  Students wishing to pick up their diplomas should come to Whitaker Atrium immediately after the All-University Commencement Ceremony on Friday morning.   After Friday morning, diplomas may be picked up at the Office of Student Records (located in the lower level of the Women's Building), during normal office hours.  Diplomas not picked-up will be mailed to students in June.

Graduate Students
Graduate degree candidates should carry (not wear) their hoods to the All-University Commencement Ceremony on Friday morning. However, at the Engineering GRADUATE Student Recognition Ceremony on Friday afternoon, all masters' students should wear their hoods to the ceremony, and Engineering Ph.D. and D.Sc. students should carry their hoods. Engineering Ph.D. and D.Sc. students will be “hooded” during the Engineering GRADUATE Student Recognition Ceremony on Friday afternoon. Engineering Ph.D. and D.Sc. students should let their advisors know if they would like them to be present to "hood" them at the Friday afternoon Engineering Graduate Student Recognition Ceremony (if advisors are unable to attend, department chairs will be present to "hood" Engineering Ph.D. and D.Sc. students). Masters' students will wear their hoods during the entire Engineering GRADUATE Student Recognition Ceremony on Friday afternoon.
 
Tassel Color
The tassel color is orange for engineering (B.S., D.Sc., and master's) degrees, and dark blue for Ph.D. degrees.
